District 16 residents, it is the weekend again already and time to give you an update on some announcements and issues.
Bedford Basin – You may notice that there are signs in DeWolf Park and Lions Park regarding water safety concerns. I received notification late yesterday that the bacteria count appeared higher than usual in the Bedford Basin. I have requested signage and also a Public Service Announcement. This is very unusual and Halifax Water and others are investigating. I will update you further, when I know more details.
DeWolf Park Brick Walkway – speaking of DeWolf Park, please be assured that HRM Parks and I are aware of the damaged bricks from winter maintenance. This work is being outsourced to a contractor to be repaired.
Regional Council – we will be meeting this Tuesday and the Agenda is available via the link below.
Transit and Masks – Please be advised that Dr Strang and Premier McNeil have announced that wearing a mask will be mandatory on Transit, beginning next Friday.
HRM announced that its Customer Service Centres are reopening. Full details can be accessed via the link below.
