Hi folks,
I hope that you are having a good weekend. Regional Council met during this past week, plus HRM Recreation released an update. I will share with you below some of the highlights and some of the updates I shared via social media last week.
Uber & Lyft in HRM?
Regional Council debated and then approved First Reading of legislation that would permit Transportation Network Companies (Ridesharing) such as Uber and Lyft in HRM. You can access the full report via the link below.

HRM is becoming more like District 16!
For many years we have had unique legislation in Bedford when it comes to Lot Grading and Stormwater protection for surrounding property owners. This protection is now being expanded throughout HRM.

Update from HRM Recreation
“Update regarding Fall 2020 recreation programming: Staff continue to assess current guidelines from public health with respect to the reopening of Community Recreation Centres, as well as the status of fall programs and rental bookings at our facilities. At this time, it is anticipated that programs and rentals in our centres will start in October, with registration for fall programs happening in late September.
Further updates will be provided as more information becomes available. We thank you for your patience as we continue to navigate the impacts of COVID-19”.
Personal Note
On a personal note, as many of you saw on social media, Sandra and celebrated our 25th anniversary last week.
Have a good week!
Tim
